Youth Social Entrepreneurs is a brand-new scheme to help raise much needed funds for Service Six in order to support their vital work in the community.
Service Six are hoping to recruit young people to become volunteer social entrepreneurs who will help to develop and deliver a number of fund-raising initiatives throughout 2020.
This new project is a mixture of Dragons Den and The Apprentice, though no one gets fired! It will bring together a group of young people who will pitch their ideas for fundraising activities and then work together to deliver those projects. It’s going to be great fun and very rewarding for all involved.
Service Six are looking for twelve young people aged 10 to 16 who would like to develop their entrepreneurial skills and put them to good use by raising money for Service Six.
The project will initially run over six months and during that time we will help volunteers develop and pitch fundraising ideas which will then be delivered by the group with support from the Service Six fundraising team. By getting involved in the scheme young social entrepreneurs will be able to develop a wide range of skills that will help them in the future if they want to become entrepreneurs and which will also look great on their CV’s when applying for courses or jobs.
Any young person or organisation such as schools or youth groups who would like to find out more about the project or register their interest in becoming a Service Six social entrepreneur should e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org.
* please note that this is project currently on hold till September 2020 due to Covid-19 but if you would like to become involved an expression of interest can be submitted.
