SHAPE

SHAPE

SHAPE is a Self-Harm Awareness & Prevention Enterprise collaboration between Service Six, Rushden Mind, CHAT Youth Counselling, Health Young Daventry and Time 2 Talk, bringing together expertise in working with mental health and young people.

Our aim is to reach 11-16 year olds in East Northamptonshire and Daventry to educate and increase awareness about self-harm. We want to help young people talk more openly and gain access to the services and support available to them. Throughout the project young people can attend awareness events at their school, join weekly support groups in their area and have the option of 1:1 therapeutic support.

Young people can also become one of our SHAPE champions.

Self Harm

Self-harm is when you hurt yourself as a way of dealing with very difficult feelings, painful memories or overwhelming situations and experiences. There are steps you can take to help you make other choices over time.
