This section aims to provide you with some information regarding the Therapeutic Counselling Service we are able to provide in schools and includes the following documents:

• Counselling Standards Information
• Counselling Referral Form

We will not make arrangements to see a young person for either a counselling assessment, or ongoing counselling in their school, without a prior agreement being made between the school and the Counselling Services Manager in the first instance.

Once arrangements have been made for a designated counsellor to come into the school to see a young person, ordinarily the counsellor will liaise with a named person in the school in order to organise ongoing appointments.

All our counsellors are required carry their Service Six photo identity badge and a copy of their Enhanced CRB Disclosure for all appointments and must be able to produce them if asked to do so by the school.
